Thompson Bukher is pleased to announce the addition of its newest partner, Charles Dender. Mr. Dender is an experienced commercial litigator, focusing on complex commercial matters in federal and state courts.
Mr. Dender’s experience encompasses a wide array of substantive areas including fiduciary duty and shareholder actions, securities litigation, SEC investigations, antitrust actions including allegations of collusion and government agency second request reviews, special litigation committee and internal investigations, whistleblower actions, intellectual property matters and general commercial contract disputes. Mr. Dender’s industry experience includes financial services, hedge funds, private equity, pharmaceutical, sports and entertainment.
Prior to joining Thompson Bukher, Mr. Dender practiced at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP and, prior to that, at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. He earned his J.D. at Cornell Law School where he was editor-in-chief of the Cornell International Law Journal. As well, Mr. Dender earned an M.B.A specializing in finance and quantitative finance from N.Y.U.’s Stern School of Business. He received two B.A.s, in economics and political science, from Temple University where he graduated as a Phi Beta Kappa honoree.
