In what is actually a first (and hopefully not last) for me, I’m featured in a viral YouTube video posted yesterday by the defendants in a copyright infringement lawsuit we brought on behalf of a client.

It feels sort of flattering to be suddenly hated by 1.5 million of what seem to be a hybrid of teenagers/amateur lawyers (“legal enthusiasts” is perhaps more apt?).

The defendants also compared me to Uncle Fester at around 7:30, which is a pretty lazy joke. So lazy in fact that I had the same idea 2 Halloweens ago:


Is it the same sort of lazy that would copy a person’s entire video, make a few jokes in the margins, and claim Fair Use? Only a court will tell…
